Michael is a graduate of the Integral Honors Program at LeMoyne College, the highest academic distinction conferred by the College.  Upon completion of his undergraduate studies at LeMoyne, Michael graduated from Albany Law School of Union University with his Juris Doctorate.

Michael is admitted to practice law in all New York State Courts, as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court, Northern District of New York.  He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Oneida County Bar Association and the Onondaga County Bar Association.

For approximately two decades, Michael has represented individuals suffering from serious, and at times catastrophic, injuries.  While his practice concentrates primarily on matters involving Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability/SSI, Michael also handles minor criminal and traffic court matters.  With respect to his Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation practice, Michael has handled claims involving, but not limited to, Wrongful Death, Paralysis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Amputations, Motor Vehicle Collisions, Animal Attacks, Premises Liability, Products Liability, Construction and Labor Law Accidents, Workplace Injuries, Environmental Exposures, No-Fault Claims, Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse, General Negligence Claims, and Insurance Coverage issues.

Michael is well-known for his passionate and zealous representation of his clients.  He has worked to secure millions of dollars in compensation for his clients during his tenure at Nicholas, Perot, Smith, Welch & Smith.  More importantly, however, are the strong relationships he has been known to form with his clients which have endured long after the conclusion of their individual claims. As the parent of a child with a Traumatic Brain Injury, Michael understands first-hand the impact that such injuries can have not only on the individual but also on his or her family.

When not representing his clients at a hearing, in a courtroom, or in a deposition, you can often find Michael in one of the local ice hockey rinks, either assisting youth players as a coach (USA Hockey Level 4), or actually playing against “legends” in the OGHL.
